For several years, artist Jan Brokof has been researching the areas of tropicalism, cannibalism, and exotism. Accompanying a production of Frascati Theater, his catalogue Tropical Healing has now been published by Salzverlag, with a contribution by Joachim Robbrecht. On 27 February, the exhibition THE URBAN SACRED opened at Kunstmuseum Bochum and will be shown there until 03 April, before moving on to London, Berlin, and Amsterdam.
The exhibition is part of a research project led by PhD Dr. Susanne Lanwerd (Freie Universität Berlin) entitled ICONIC RELIGION.
The bilingual exhibition catalogue (Metropol-Verlag) presents compelling essays on architecture and religion. The German translations of the English originals were done by Bochert Translations.
